Microsoft has been making some waves lately with its High Definition game console. So after I wrote about Microsoft dropping the prices on all 3 models of Xbox 360 last week (blog) there has been more information to write about. First of which is now that the Premium model is already shipping with HDMI output (source). This is really great for people looking to buy an Xbox but sucks for the people that have already bought theirs. I was looking to buy the Xbox Elite to get the HDMI but since the $350 will come with the output I no longer need to shell out the extra dough for the Elite model. So if you are looking to buy one make sure the box is labeled with the HDMI output. Also they have added the 65nm processor and bigger heat sinks to keep the console at a lower temperature which has plagued the device. Not too long ago they extended the warranty to 3 years, which shows that Microsoft is devoted to their gaming customers and wants to keep their business. A lot of people have been shafted with the red ring of death on their xbox but hopefully they will be reimbursed for the amount they paid to have fixed or have a chance to get one replaced.
Other things that will be released for the 360 is the thumb keyboard that will plug into back end of the controller. This will be released September 4th and will only cost $30 (source). I think it looks good and fits perfectly with the controller. Now for all the HALO fan boys come and pre-order your Halo 3 editioned Xbox 360. Looking at the specs this seems to be just a regular premium model with a nice looking paint job and matching controllers. This will look good with the matching Halo 3 editioned Zune. Reuters have claimed that over 1 million copies of Halo 3 has been pre-ordered so while you are pre-ordering you Halo 3 game, go ahead and pick up your matching Zune and Xbox! Leave some feedback.
UPDATE (8/14/07): 65nm processor chipset is not on the new HDMI premium Xbox’s (link). Also there is a rumor going around that Xbox’s will have bundles for the holiday season (link).

Today, while I was at work, my cousin stole my apple ipad and tested to see if it can survive a 30 foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now broken and she has 83 views. I know this is totally off topic but I had to share it with someone!
