Well after 3 years of speculation and promises Dell has finally released their long waited Tablet pc. The latitude XT seems like an awesome machine with only one huge drawback, THE PRICE! The base price for this pc is $2500, WOW that is way too much. It seems to me is that they started with the latitude D430 as the framework for this XT and turned it into a tablet. The official specs of this good looking machine is a 12.1″ WXGA screen with CCFL with LED options. This looks like an upgraded version of the display of the D430 and added a CAPACITIVE touchscreen which will allow for multitouch applications. Just like the D430 the processor comes in Core 2 Solo or Duo at 1.06 or 1.2Ghz. What I wish I had in the D430 they added an ATI Radeon X1250 UMA Graphics card. Hard drives ranging in 40GB – 120GB and 32GB or 64GB SSD options. Instead of having an outdated PCMCIA PC Card slot they finally upgraded to an Express slot card. There is a biometric reader, SD Card slot, 3 USB ports, VGA port, Bluetooth, WWAN, WIFI options just like the D430 has. It supposively comes with something I wish all laptops have and that is a scroll wheel. Leave some feedback on what you guys think.
