This is a quick follow up to the post yesterday about the presentation saver. Another thing I encounter alot when people ask me for help with their computers is how come my machine does not autologon like my older machines. Well with Xp and Vista the option to autologon is their but is hidden very well as a security issue. The option is still there. I quickly created another C# application to do this real quick. This application will write the correct values to the registry. There is a brief warning about this as it will place your password in the registry in an uncrypted state which is very unsecure. If you are not worried about this then go ahead and use this application. If you are you still can use this application as it will pop up the Windows Dialog and give you directions on how to go from their.
Once again this application is built for computers running .Net 3.5 SP1 and is a v 0.1 release which is beta. Please give feedback so I can build the feature set and fix bugs.
