I purchased my 32″ Emerson LCD HDTV back in the summer of 2008 from woot.com for $350. This is my bedroom TV which means I actually use it more than my nicer 42″ 1080P 120Hz Vizio that I have in my family room. Well the other day I came home from work on a monday and turned the tv and it immediately turned off. I thought this was strange since the TV worked last night as I was watching Dinner for Schmucks on my PS3. I tried turning on the TV on again and again and again and each time it would immediately turn off. Then I started searching the internet and I came across this video.
Essentially this TV and all sister models suffer from problems with the inverter board. Now after searching the internet I found a good way to test if the inverter board is the problem.
TO DETERMINE IF THE INVERTER BOARD IS THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM WITH YOUR TV, UNPLUG THE 8 WIRE CABLE FROM THE DIGITAL BOARD TO THE INVERTER. IF THE TV POWER WILL NOW STAY ON, RATHER THAN NOT COMING ON OR COMING ON AND QUICKLY SHUTTING OFF, THEN THE INVERTER BOARD IS DEFECTIVE. IF THE POWER STILL WILL NOT STAY ON, REPLACING THE INVERTER BOARD WILL NOT FIX YOUR TV.

The Circuit board will be identical to the following picture and have a printed number on of BA71F0F01047. The Last two digits maybe different on your board. The manufacturers part number, which is not on the board is 1ESA19608, 1FSA10164, 1FSA10280 or 1ESA16508.
I purchased my 1FSA10164 board from a website called Modus Link PTS. It looks like you can get it from other sites as well, just need to do some searching. There is also this guy on ebay that will either sell them or will try to fix your board.

Elin Woods Nordegren has picked up a new house. A modest 17,000sq ft. house for $12.2 million in north Palm Beach. It sits only 10 miles from Tiger’s new place and is double the size.
Although Tiger’s new crib isn’t too shabby either coming in at $60 million and boasts a running track and four hole golf course.
405lbs, 60in waist, 6′ Kelly Gneiting at age 40 is going to run the Los Angeles marathon. He’s won the US Sumo Federation title 3 times and now plans to tackle his childhood goal of running a marathon AGAIN. He first ran the LA marathon in 2008 and completed it in just under 12 hours. He hopes to finish the race with a better time. Good luck tomorrow Kelly!!! Now I have no excuse to not exercise.

Kelly completed the race in 9 hours, 48 minutes, 52 seconds. “I did it, but it was hell,” Gneiting said shortly after crossing the finish line in Santa Monica. “Pure hell.”
Topless photos of Marilyn Monroe are heading up for auction on March 24 2011 at New York’s Swann Gallery titled “The Last Sitting” photographed by Bert Stern. These photos were part of her last photo shoot. Six weeks after the shoot Marilyn Monroe would die. The photos are expected to sell for £15,000 or just over $21,000.

Next time your in Austin Texas ask yourself if you really need a picture of that bizarre find. One unnamed tourist found this out the hard way. After taking a picture of 23 year old Johnathan Washburn’s amazing triple mohawk he was confronted by Johnathan and his pal Timothy Beard. The tourist refused to delete the photo, he claimed he was taking photos of “anything that was remotely interesting or unusual” in Austin, TX. Wrong answer, 19 year old Timothy snatched the man’s Oakleys from his head and when the man tried to get them back Johnathan followed up with his skateboard to the man’s head.
The pair took off after the assault. Police later found Johnathan at the Jackalope bar and Timothy across the street still in possession of the Oakleys. Johnathan was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, while Timothy was charged with theft. As much as they tried to fight their photo being taken both now have their mug shots published on the web.
This Bear Fight shirt I created actually has two different references. The first reference is to Anchorman when they jump in to the bear pit and someone says BEAR FIGHT! The next reference is to an awesome shot that one of my friends started buying. It is an Irish car bomb followed by a Jager bomb which is called a bear fight.
